The Biggest Video Protagonists

There are many protagonists out there from the video games that it is pretty hard to keep track of the best ones, however here is a small list of the most loved creations.

Mario

This has to be at the very top for the gaming franchises simply because so many games have been made around this one character. When players first saw Mario he was know as Jumpman and it was of course from the Donkey Kong arcade game. Along with the sting of games that feature just him he is also featured in many games with his other Nitendo pals such as Mario Kart and Smash Bros. He remains the biggest gaming character of all time.

Mastercheif

Although the Halo franchise is not really focusing in on the Mastercheif character anymore (stupid move) he remains one of the most loved characters in gaming history. Masterchief of course first hit the screens in 2001 when the first game was released and he has appeared in two other games along with various novels. Will we ever see the cheif in another Halo game.

Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic is another one of the big ones and he first appeared in 1991 as Sega’s attempt to rival Mario and has appeared in so many games since then. He has to be the second biggest videos game character next to Mario which is why rather surprisingly he quite often appears next to him in games. He has appeared with Mario in both the Olympic games and in Smash Bros Brawl. Mario Galaxy 2 is supposed to be the next game Sonic will be making a guest appearance in, we shall see. It would certainly spoil a Mario game.
