Mario & Sonic in Winter Olympics Game
Posted: November 26th, 2009 | Category: Computers and Technology2007’s Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games was an undoubted success; it sold amazingly well for the last Olympics and now the 2009 winter Olympics will feature another instalment from the same people who built the last one.
Essentially, the game is really just a tarted up version of a handful of button bashing games that have been featuring over the last 10 years but instead of seeing Sonic, Mario, and Bowser dressed up in gloves, scarves plus womens jackets the actual game itself features way more possibilities than ever before as the game itself features new Wii fit technology so you can actually re-enact the movements on screen. This is pretty old hat technology for us really but the game itself has never seen this before which is why game critics from across the board are having a field day over it. What’s more is that the updated winter Olympics events seem to support more imaginative control systems (particularly on the Wii) and this time there is support for the wii balance board in the single player mode. This is brilliant news for people who would love to get a bit fitter these days and get as much excercise as possible.
This game is no doubt worth a punt at the Christmas number one spot and I am very excited to see what surprises this game has in store for us. I remember in the late 1990’s when the original Sonic game came out on the Mega Drive and it was the best thing to hit the streets. We will now be able to see a completely revised version of what came out before in years past and I cannot wait to see what the end goal is. Now we will see a completely revised version of what came out before hand and I cannot wait to see what the end product is!
