Look to the Internet for an Abundance of Free Seasonal and Holiday Scrapbooking Supplies

Posted: November 29th, 2009 | Category: Home Based Business

Now that so many good scrapbook graphic designers are Internet savvy, you can find plenty of free holiday and seasonal digital scrapbook designs online. So if you know how to do a Web search and download files, you can find all the designs you need to create beautiful scrapbooks. That caused popular artist Mary Englebreit to remark recently that the Internet is so overflowing with terrific free scrapbook designs, it can provide nearly any type of images you might need. And she’s an authority on good images; products with her graphics on them fly off the shelves as soon as they’re released!

The following are samples of some of the types of free seasonal scrapbooking graphics I’ve found on the Web:

Holidays

Holidays just naturally invite scrapbooking, since those are the occasions when many of us create some of our most lasting memories. And Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Valentine’s Day aren’t the only holidays that make people want to create scrapbooks; many people are interested in the minor holidays too. There are all kinds of patriotic scrapbooking papers and embellishments on the Internet for holidays such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Fourth of July and Flag Day. There are also images suitable for Earth Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and just about any other holiday you can think of; even the off-beat and downright bizarre ones.

Spring and Summer Butterflies and Flowers

Scrapbookers seem to love spring and summer flowers, and why not? They work for nearly any occasion. Butterflies attract a large audience too, because they bring to mind so many things we love: freedom, summertime and other happy things. Flowers and butterflies are also diverse, because you can find them in both illustration and photographic form, and in modern and vintage forms. There are even flower art scrapbook papers that have many mix-and-match designs available in the same collections.

Summer Weddings

June is the traditional month for weddings but in reality they take place all summer long. It’s not hard to figure out why, it’s because the weather is more conducive. Weddings and scrapbooks were made to go together, because wedding photo albums have always been traditional anyway. But if you can make it a wedding scrapbook instead, you can preserve your memories in an even more creative way. There are many good free wedding scrapbooking embellishments online that will allow you to create a lasting memento for little or no cost. And if you can’t find any specifically for weddings, flower scrapbook images will often do just as well.

Timeless Vintage Art

There seems to be an increase in the number of people looking for.vintage scrapbook papers. Maybe that’s because vintage art is so ageless and doesn’t date the final product to any season or particular modern era. Greeting cards from times long gone make wonderful vintage scrapbook embellishments, as do clipart images from years gone by. And when you can find digital scrapbook papers made from compilations of vintage images, you’ll experience digital meeting traditional in a beautiful and useful way. Antique art also covers a range of subjects, which means you can find images as diverse as tall sailing ships, vintage travel posters, antique flower baskets, magician posters and Victorian fashion illustrations. So whatever the season or holiday, there’s probably antique art to match.

So the next time you need seasonal scrapbook graphics, check the Web. You might find some amazing free things.
