How To Be A Good Husband
Posted: November 14th, 2009 | Category: Self ImprovementWhat makes a great husband? How can one become a good husband? For many married men these are the million dollar questions as they struggle to understand the way in which their wives think. Well hopefully this article will provide you with the answers to the above questions, the answers that could ultimately enable you to have a happy, long and successful marriage.
Now I am not a relationship expert or a relationship counsellor. I am just a normal British guy who wants to make a success out of my marriage. In my business life I am a webmaster of various websites offering amongst others a DVD duplication service, offering web promotion tips and I also run a specialised stuttering treatment course (I have overcome a stutter which had affected my life, in a negative way, for eighteen years).
A good husband is a person who is honest and trustworthy. No trust often leads to no relationship. This trust is something that must be without doubt allowing our wife to feel a sense of security.
Where there are children that have been born from the relationship then the husband should be supportive and loving towards these siblings. I am thinking here of those dads who just go to the pub each night or spend every minute of the day working. Money is important however it most certainly is not everything.
Charming and romantic are the next two adjectives that are essential for men who are hoping to become a great husband. The honeymoon period is all but over in such a short space of time however by buying your wife the odd gift or some flowers from time to time should help to keep the flames of passion burning. Why not write her some poetry or a love song? Come on guys, you can do it.
Finally before I bore you all completely the last idea from my list is that a decent husband needs to be a good listener. As men we are fully aware of just how much women love to chat, chatting about their family, their friends or their career. You may well find these subjects extremely un-interesting however make the effort to at least pretend to listen!
