Check Out These Great Tips for Warcraft Special Items

Posted: May 1st, 2010 | Category: Computers and Technology

Picking up the special items in Wow can not only be really useful, but super profitable as well. You can sell the special stuff in the Auction House. Selling items to vendors also works. Not everyone knows which stuff is best to sell or where to get it. But once you know, you can start making tons of gold just by selling items. And then you can get back to actually PLAYING the game faster, instead of grinding and farming for gold all day.

The Badlands, the Eastern Plaguelands, and Winterspring all have a good deal of Black Lotus available. In Winterspring, the best place to find it is near the cave of the blue dragon. You’ll find a great many of tips for special items and more by checking out the Ultimate WoW Guide.

Blood of the Mountain is available through mining Dark Nodes at the Searing Mountains. If you’re close to mastering your profession, you’re going to need this. Quests later in the game also require it, and you can sell in pretty easily in the Auction House.

Dark Runes are obtainable by killing mobs in Scholo and are essential for the game, so it’s always easy to sell them off to make some extra cash because everybody needs them. For faster ways to get more gold, you can also check out the Hayden Hawkes Guide, one of the best guides online for making quick, fast, and tons of gold.

Speaking of mobs, those in Felwoods have a high drop-rate for Essence of Water, which can help you make cash.

You can find Larval Acid by grinding slugs in the Eastern Plaguelands and they sell for like 10 gold a piece usually, so it’s well worth it.

Stonescale Eels are available on the coastline of Kalimdor and can usually be sold for about 1 gold piece each.

The Auction House

If you haven’t tried the Auction House before, it helps to watch it for a few days before you start selling. While watching what other people are buying and selling in the Auction House, be aware of the average prices stuff goes for and what’s in the highest demand.

Like most markets, it’s best not to flood the Auction House with too many of one item at a time. When any one item becomes too readily available, the value of it drops, and the idea here is to get the best price you can for everything. Since the common items aren’t in high demand and aren’t going to be worth much, you can go ahead and sell a few of those at a time. But for your rare items, only list one or two at a time so you can get top dollar.

Pricing Tips

After you’ve watched the Auction House for a few days, you should have a pretty good idea about price. Don’t get too carried away and price everything high because it likely won’t sell. Likewise, don’t price things too low. Watch other player’s auctions to determine a fair price for your items. If you constantly price your items low, you could be running other players out of business. While that may seem like a good time, it’s actually a pretty crappy thing to do. Don’t do it! Everyone in the game is trying to get the best items and their epic flying-mount, etc. So let’s keep things somewhat fair¦ at least in the auction house. And same the drama for elsewhere.

Keep in mind the busiest gaming hours (usually early evening and weekends) and try to schedule your auctions for those times. The more players online, the better price you will usually get. With that in mind¦ realize that there are players in other time zones (and countries) as well. But the majority of players are probably in the US, so schedule your auctions accordingly.
